윌리엄 로버트 헤들리는 1960년대 초 런던 미드랜드 지역 영국 철도의 모더니즘 철도역으로 가장 잘 알려진 건축가였다.
1947년 철도 서비스에 가입했고,[1] 1948년 건축협회 졸업장을 획득했으며, 영국 철도의 런던 미들랜드 지역의 건축가가 되었다.그는 영국철도공사(British Trailways)에서 물러났고 1963년 1월 1일 골린스, 멜빈, 워드, 파트너스와 파트너십을 맺었다.[2]그는 1989년에 파트너십을 포기했다.[3]
