USS 존 L. 캔리(ESB-6)는 네 번째 루이스 B다. 미 해군의 풀러급 원정 기동기지(ESB)로 명예훈장 수상자인 존 L.[5] 캔리의 이름을 딴 첫 번째 함정이다.John L. Canley는 캘리포니아 샌디에이고에서 National Steel and Shiping Company(NASSCO)에 의해 건조되었습니다.자매선과 마찬가지로, 그녀도 Montford Point-Class Expeditional Transfer Dock(ESD)의 하위 변종입니다.ESD는 해군 밀리터리 씰리프트 사령부에서 주로 민간 승무원과 함께 운영하고 있으며, ESB는 업무 특성상 해군에 의해 임관되어 군용 페로넬로 직접 운용되고 있다.
