발삼 우즈(Balsam Woods)로 짧게 알려진 업랜드는 캐나다 앨버타 주 에드먼턴 서부에 있는 미래의 이웃 지역이다.[5] 이웃의 구획과 개발은 2015년 9월 22일 에드먼턴 시의회에서 채택한 리버뷰 1(더 업랜드) 근린구조계획(NSP)이 안내한다.[2] 에드먼턴의 리버뷰 지역 내에 위치하며, 원래 리버뷰 지역 구조 계획(ASP) 내에서 리버뷰 인접지 1로 여겨졌다.[5]

업랜드는 북쪽으로는 앤서니 헨데이 드라이브(Anthony Henday Drive)가, 동쪽으로는 노스사스카처원 강 계곡이, 남동쪽으로는 리버 에지(River's Edge)가, 남서쪽으로는 스틸워터(Stillwater)가, 서쪽으로는 에녹 크리 네이션(Enoch Cree) 보호구역이 경계를 이루고 있다.[1][5]

리버뷰의 미래 이웃 5곳은 원래 2015년 6월 25일 에드먼턴의 네이밍 위원회에 의해 이름이 붙여졌고, 리버뷰 이웃 1호는 발삼 우즈라는 이름이 붙여졌다.[6] 발삼 우즈와 다른 두 곳의 이웃 개발자들은 이후 세 곳의 이웃 이름을 시의회 집행위원회에 호소했다.[7] 집행위원회는 세 이웃에 대한 지명 결정을 뒤집었고 발삼 우즈는 The Uplands로 이름이 바뀌었다.[8]
