Timay al-Imdid (Arabic: تمي الإمديد Timayy al-Imdīd, Coptic: ⲑⲙⲟⲩⲓ ⲡϭⲓⲙⲉⲛⲧⲏϯ Thmoui Pçimenteti), the ancient Thmuis[3] and Mendes, is a city and markaz in Dakahlia Governorate of Egypt. 2019년 마르카즈 추정 인구는 20만1,956명으로 도시지역 1만9,366명, 농촌지역 18만2,590명이 거주하고 있다.[2]
이름
티메이라는 이름은 콥트어인 콥트어인 콥트어인 콥트어인 tmoui에서 유래되었다. 이 경우 데모틱 t3-m3w.t-n-Pr-b3-(nb)-md.t의 약칭이다. The second part Amdid (older form Mandid or Mandadi) comes from Coptic: ϭⲓⲙⲉⲛⲧⲏϯ, a compound toponym the first part of which is ϭⲓⲏ "border, edge" and the second one comes from Egyptian pr-b3-nb-ḏd.t "temple of Aries of the lord of ḏdt" which is also the source of Ancient Greek: Μενδης.[4]
