루피자리1 타우(Tau Lupi)는1 남쪽 루푸스자리에 있는 외로운[12] 별입니다.겉보기 등급 4.5로 [2]육안으로 볼 수 있다.지구에서 볼 때 불과 2.99밀리초의 연간 시차 편이를 바탕으로 볼 때, 이 별은 태양으로부터 약 1,090광년 떨어진 곳에 위치해 있다.루피자리1 타우는 32.6±3.6km/[3]s의 특이한 속도를 가진 도망성일[10] 수 있다.인근 Sco OB2 [13]협회의 Upper Centaurus-Lupus 하위 그룹의 구성원이다.

이 별은 B2 [3][2]IV 등급의 B형 준거성이다.1955년 케이프 [14]천문대에서 관측한 결과 세페이의 베타 변광성으로 밝혀졌다.타우1 루피는 0.17736934일의 일정 주기를 나타내며, 이는 하루에 5.637953 사이클의 주파수에 해당하며,[4][15] 진폭은 0.035이다.질량은 태양의 약 10배[2][6], 반지름은 태양의 7배입니다.

이 별은 적외선 초과 현상을 나타내며, 이는 이 등급의 방출되지 않는 별로는 드문 현상입니다.먼지의 안쪽 가장자리는 온도가 190K인 별에서 980AU 거리에 있으며, 온도가 40K로 떨어지는 곳에서 50,000AU까지 바깥쪽으로 뻗어 있습니다.이 광학적으로 얇은 먼지는 별의 [9]맥동 거동과 관련이 없습니다.
