베타 루피(β 뤼피로부터 라틴화) 또는 케쿠안(/ˈkwɑn/)은 루푸스의 남쪽 별자리에 있는 별이다.겉보기에는 2.7의 시각적 크기가 있어 육안으로도 쉽게 볼 수 있다.[2]시차 측정에 근거하여, 이 별은 지구로부터 약 383광년(117파섹) 거리에 위치한다.[2]

특성.

B2 III의 별 분류는 이것이 거대한 별이라는 것을 나타낸다.[3]별의 바깥쪽 봉투의 유효 온도는 24,090 K로 [9]B형 별의 청백색을 준다.[11]약 2,500만 년의 나이로 수소가 헬륨 원소로 융합되어 적색 초거성 항성으로 전이되는 수소 위상이 거의 끝나간다.[7]약 8.8개의[7] 태양 질량에서는 제2형 초신성으로 수명을 다하기에 충분한 질량을 가질 수 있지만, 베타 루피가 백색 왜성이 될 가능성은 있다.[12]

이것은 다주기 베타 세페이 변수로서, 지배 진동 기간이 0.232일이다.[5]그것은 스콜피우스-센타우루스 OB 협회에 있는 상위-센타우루스 루푸스 하위 그룹의 적절한 모션 멤버로, 이와 같이 거대한 별들이 태양과 함께 움직이는 가장 가까운 연합이다.[6]베타 루피는 연간 50 mas 이상의 높은 적정 운동을 하고 있어 상당한 횡속도를 시사한다.[13]

이름

중국어로 황실 근위대를 뜻하는 騎官(Qi Guan)은 β 뤼피, Δ lupi, Δ Lupi, , 센타우리, λ Lupi, μ Lup, μ Lup, and Lupi, α Lupi로 구성된 별칭을 말한다.[15]따라서 β 뤼피의 중국식 이름 자체는 騎官四(Qi Guan sì, 영어: 제4성)이다.[16]이 중국 이름을 프랑스어로 표현함으로써 유럽 전통 이름인 케쿠안(Ke Kwan)이 유래되었다.[17]
