스타테모세포는 뿌리의 캡 조직에 위치한 식물에서 육즙성 지각에 관여한다고 생각되는 세포다.[1] 그것들은 전분 함유 아밀로플라스틱 오르간젤을 함유하고 있는데, 이 오간젤은 세포의 가장 낮은 부분에 침전되어 차등 성장 패턴을 일으켜 뿌리를 수직 축으로 구부린다.[2]
