포도상구균 렌즈콩은 그램 양성, 산화효소 양성, 코아굴라제 음성 성분으로, 군집된 코치로 구성된 박테리아 속 포도상구균이다.[1]이 종은 원래 아종으로 분류되었다. 그것의 이름은 포도상구균 sciuri subsp에서 파생된 조합이다.렌즈콩[2]
연구된 모든 S. sicuri 아종들 중에서 오직 S. centus만이 삼당류 라피노스를 사용하는 것이 발견되었다.[3]
