SCR-658 레이더는 1944년 미 육군이 도입한 무선 방향탐지기로 SCR-268 레이더와 연계해 개발됐다.[2] SCR-258이 선행했다. 그것의 주요 목적은 풍선을 추적하는 것이었다. 이전에는 기상 관측 기구로만 추적할 수 있어 열악한 기상 조건에서 시각적 추적에 어려움을 겪었다. 이 세트는 휴대할 수 있을 정도로 작고 벤허 트레일러에 실려 있다.
잔존예
오하이오 데이튼에 있는 공군 박물관에 알려진 생존자가 한 명 있다.[3]
