'평화를 위한 종교'는 1970년 설립된 평화 증진을 위해 헌신한 세계 종교 대표들의 국제 연합이다. 국제 사무국 본부는 뉴욕시에 있으며, 유럽, 아시아, 중동, 아프리카, 아메리카에서 지역 회의가 열린다. 평화를 위한 종교는 유엔 경제사회 이사회, 유네스코, 유니세프 등과 협의하는 지위를 누리고 있다. 2019년 8월 현재, 카람 아차(Azza Karam)가 윌리엄 F를 진행하면서 신임 사무총장을 맡고 있다. 벤들리[1]
The first World Conference was convened in Kyoto, Japan, on 16–21 October 1970, the second World Assembly was held in Leuven, Belgium in 1974, the third in Princeton, New Jersey, United States, the fourth in Nairobi, Kenya in 1984, the fifth in Melbourne, Australia in 1989, the sixth in Riva del Garda, Italy in 1994, the seventh in Amman, Jordan in 1999년, 2006년 일본 교토에서 8회,[2] 오스트리아 빈에서 9회, 독일 린다우에서 10회.[3]
2020년 선학 평화상은 세네갈의 맥키 살 대통령과 평화를 위한 종교의 무닙 유난 주교가 수상했다.[4]
