Psittinus는 Psittaculidae에 속하는 앵무새의 한 속이다.이전에는 단일 종인 푸른주름앵무새(Psittinus cyanurus)를 포함하는 것으로 여겨졌으나 2021년 [1][2][3]IOC에 의해 시므울루앵무새(P. abbotti)가 별도의 종으로 분리됐다.2019년 유전자 분석에 따르면 프시타쿨라속은 프시티누스에 대해 측문성이라는 것이 밝혀졌으며, 프시타쿨라속은 프시티누스를 별개의 [4]속으로서 유지하기 위해 다른 속들로 분할되어야 할 수도 있다.
