π 파보니스(Pi Pavonis)는 파보 별자리에 있는 후보 천문학적[11] 이항성계통이다. 그것은 백색 띠로 육안으로는 가시적 크기가 4.33으로 보이는 희미한 빛의 지점으로 보이는 별이다.[2] 이 물체까지의 거리는 시차 기준 130광년이지만 방사상 속도 -15.6km/s로 태양 가까이 표류하고 있다.[1][5]

눈에 보이는 성분은 스트론튬의 풍부한 이상을 보이는 화학적으로 특이한 별이다.[12][13] 그레이 외 연구진(1989)은 이를 kA4hF0mF2 III로 분류해 A4별의 칼슘 K라인, 쿨러 F0별의 수소선, F2별의 금속선 등과 거대한 암별을 매칭한다.[3] 그러나 로덴과 쑨드만(1989)은 거인으로 여기지 않고 ap별로 나열한다.[12] 이것은 6억[6] 3천만 년으로 태양의 2.15배[6], 태양의 반지름 2.8배의[7] 질량을 가지고 있다. 이 별은 7,632K의 유효 온도에서 태양의 24.7배[7] 광도를 광권으로부터 발산하고 있다.[7]
