'Over the Shoulder'는 미국 록 밴드인 Meddom의 두 번째 스튜디오 앨범인 트위치(1986)의 곡이다.프런트맨 알 주르겐센이 작사하고, 애드리안 셔우드가 프로듀싱했으며, 1985년 11월 12인치 싱글로 발매된 이 밴드는 시어 레코드와 계약한 후 처음으로 녹음한 음반으로,[1][2] 동봉된 뮤직비디오는 피터 크리스토퍼슨이 감독을 맡았다.

구성

"Over the Shoulder"의 뮤직비디오는 피터 크리스토퍼슨이 감독했다.[14][15][16]10대 2명이 차를 훔치고, 식료품점을 부수고, 손톱과 모터 오일 오믈렛을 만들고, 뚜렷한 성과 없이 차를 몰고 떠나는 장면으로 구성된다.[9]

주르겐센에 따르면, 감독은[nb 1] 비디오에 등장하는 행동을 하기 위해 두 명의 아이들을 고용했다.밴드가 상점에서 촬영해 달라고 하자 주인은 거절했다.이 감독은 같은 아이들에게 돈을 주고 가게에 침입해 쓰레기를 버렸다고 주장했고, 밴드는 다시 한 번 물었다.청소하는데 돈이 필요한 주인도 동의했다.주르겐센의 표현대로 "그 비디오에서 일어난 모든 일은 범죄였다."[18]
