오투 보루(Ottu barge)라고도 불리며 오투 헤드(Ottu barge)라고도 불리는 오투 보루는 인도 하랴나 주의 가가-하크라 강에 석조 보로, 하랴나 시르사에서 약 8마일 떨어진 오투 마을 인근에 위치한 옛 소형의 다누르 호수에서 큰 저수지를 만든다.[1]하랴나 주 북부까지 관개수를 운반하는 두 개의 가가르 운하(북가르 운하와 남가르 운하)의 공급원이다.[1]2002년 바야흐로 새로운 관광단지가 출범하였고, 차우드하리 데비 랄 전 한라나주 수상을 기념하여 '차우드하리 데비 랄 위르'라는 명예 명칭을 부여받았다.[2]다누르 호수 저수지는 현재 종종 단순히 오투 저수지로 일컬어진다.[3]
건설
오투 보루는 1896~97년 당시 이 지역의 기근으로 이용할 수 있었던 저비용 노동력을 이용해 건설되었다.[1]보와 그 연관 저수지와 운하 건설 이전에, 당시 왕자인 비카네르 주의 농업은 상류에서 더 많은 이교도 농부들에 의해 가가르 강에서의 다이버전으로 인한 장마철에 물 공급의 변동으로부터 압력을 받았다.[4]이 보와 운하 건설에는 6.3 라크 루피가 들었고, 이 중 2.8 라크는 비카네르 주(Bikaner)에서 지불했으며 나머지는 영국이 운영하는 인도 정부가 지불했다.[4]
탈와라호와의 역사적 혼란
한때 일부 역사학자들은 오투 호수가 1398-99년 인도 침공 당시 하누망가르(라자스탄)의 바트네어 요새를 제압한 뒤 진을 친 장소라고 추정했다.그러나 그가 키나르-에-하우즈(즉, 탱크나 호수의 둑에 있는)라고 묘사한 그의 진영의 실제 부지는 엘레나바드와 하누망가르 마을 사이의 하류 40km에 있는 탈라와라호 둑에 있었던 것으로 지금 알려져 있다.[5]
