Osedax mucofloris는 죽은 고래들의 뼈에 계속 붙어 있는 것으로 보고된 욕조성 다람쥐의 일종이다.[2][3][4]과학적인 이름에 사용되는 그리스어와 라틴어의 혼합어로 번역된 "오세닥스 뮤코플로리스"는 글자 그대로 "꽃뼈-이터"를 의미하지만, 덜 정확한 "뼈-먹이-꽃 벌레"는 실제로 사용되는 형태인 것 같다.[2][4]이 종은 북대서양에서 많이 발견된다.[1]
