《뉴질랜드 여성 주간지》는 아레 미디어가 발행하는 뉴질랜드 여성 주간지다.[2] 2011년 기준 판매 부수는 8만2040부로 TV Guide, 뉴질랜드 여성의 날에 이어 유료 판매로 세 번째다.[3]

역사

1932년 12월 8일, 언론인 오토 윌리엄스와 오드리 아갈이 신문 인쇄물에 7,000부를 싣는 [4]이 잡지를 발행했다.[5] 윌리엄스가 상무이사를 맡았고, 아갈이 초대 편집장을 맡았다.[6] 재정난으로 그들은 3개월 만에 그 잡지를 팔 수 밖에 없었다. 엘렌 멜빌은 잡지의 프린터인 F. S. 프록터와 그의 아내가 인수하기 전까지 몇 주 동안 잡지를 운영했다. 1933년 초 변호사 버논 다이슨이 사들였고, 그의 아내 헤다가 두 번째 편집자가 되었다.[7] 연말에 그것은 오클랜드 스타를 출판한 후에 뉴질랜드 신문사인 브렛 인쇄 출판사에 다시 팔렸다.[6] 헤다 다이슨은 편집자로 유임되었다.

바우어 미디어 그룹은 2020년 4월 초 뉴질랜드 여성 주간지(Women's Weekly) 등 뉴질랜드에서 발생한 COVID-19 대유행의 경제적 영향에 대응해 여러 개의 뉴질랜드 브랜드를 폐쇄한다고 발표했다.[10][11][12]

머큐리 캐피털은 2020년 6월 17일 바우어 미디어의 호주와 뉴질랜드 자산 인수의 일환으로 뉴질랜드 여성 주간지를 매입했다.[13][14] 7월 17일, 머큐리 캐피탈은 여성 주간지와 다른 이전 바우어 출판물들을 다시 발행할 것이라고 발표했다.[15][16] 머큐리 캐피탈은 2020년 9월 말 바우어 미디어를 아레 미디어로 리브랜딩해 여성 주간지의 발간을 이어받았다.[17][1]
