집단 불법행위
Mass tort집단 불법행위는 주 또는 연방법원에 있는 한 명 또는 몇 명의 피고인에 대한 수많은 원고들이 관련된 민사소송이다. 소송은 동일하거나 유사한 위해행위(예: 처방약, 의료기기, 불량품, 열차 사고, 비행기 추락, 오염, 건설 재해)를 통해 수많은 상해를 입히는 피고로부터 발생한다.
로펌들은 때때로 대중매체를 이용하여 잠재적 원고들에게 접근한다.
집단 불법행위의 주요 범주는 다음과 같다.
미국 연방법원에서 집단 불법행위 청구가 다선거구 소송으로 통합되는 경우가 많다. 집단 불법행위는 집단행동을 통해 해결되는 경우도 있다.
