영국의 무기 L 번호 목록
List of British weapon L numbersL번호("L" standing for Land Service) 또는 무기신분번호 시스템은[1] 영국군 무기와 관련 상점의 유형 분류에 사용되는 숫자 지정 시스템이다. 고립된 L번호는 고유 식별자가 아니다. L1 명칭만으로 라이플총과 그에 상응하는 총검, 기관총, 탱크총, 조준망원경, 항뢰유탄, 3개의 별도 로켓시스템, 목걸이 철거비, 핸드던 플레어, 퓨즈 세터 헤드, 2개의 별도 사용자충격기 등이 사용된다.책임지고 그보다는 "리플, 7.62mm, L1A1"[2] 또는 "L1A1 7.62mm 라이플"과 같은 설명과 함께 숫자를 사용한다. L 번호 다음에 오는 A 번호는 장비의 특정 버전을 가리킨다. A 번호가 후속 버전의 장비에만 사용되는 다른 국가에서 사용하는 유사한 지정 시스템과 달리 A1 명칭은 항상 첫 번째 버전의 장비에 사용된다. L 번호 지정은 1954년부터[3] 사용되기 시작했으며 군사용 차량에 상응하는 시스템은 FV 시리즈(전투용 차량)이다.
AR-15와[4][5] M16A2[6] 소총, C3 비금속 대인지뢰,[7] M18A1 대인지뢰,[8][9] M79 유탄발사기와[10] M6-895, M6-640 박격포[10][11] 등 일부 무기는 L번호를 부여하지 않았으며 제조사 설계에 의해 공식 문서에 언급되어 있다. 마찬가지로, 기존 수치 체계에서 지정이 부여된 8번 Mk 1 0.22in 소총,[12][13][6][14] 1번 Mk 3 6인치 벌집 파괴 요금,[8][15][16] 14번 Mk 1 11lb Hayrick 해체 요금과[17] 같은 기존 품목은 교체될 때까지 이러한 지정에 의해 계속 언급되었다.
영국 해군 무기 체계는 "N" (N" standing for Navy Service)에 의해 지정되지만, 많은 경우에 L 번호 지정이 있는 무기들은 계속해서 그렇게 언급되고 있다. 예를 들어, 캐나다는 "C" (캐나다를 위한 "C" 스탠딩), 호주는 "F" (군대를 위한 "F" 스탠딩), 미국은 "M" (모델을 위한 "M" 스탠딩)을 사용한다.
