2006년 주 의회[18] 선거에서 무소속 아푸르바 사르카르는 68개 칸디 의회 의석을 차지해 가장 가까운 경쟁자인 CPI의 압둘 하미드를 물리쳤다.아푸르바 사르카르는 아디르 처드후리가 공식 후보 아티쉬 [25]신하에 대한 항의로 내세운 반군 의회 후보였다.그는 그 후 [26]국회로 다시 끌려갔다.대부분의 대회들은 여러모로 궁지에 몰렸지만 승자와 주자만 거론되고 있다.의회의 아티시 찬드라 신하는 [17]2001년 CPI의 찬단 센, 1996년과 [15]1991년[16] CPI의 Syd Wahid Reza를 물리쳤다.CPI의 Syd Wahid Reza는 [14]1987년 의회의 Bankim Trivedi를 이겼다.의회의 아티시[13] 찬드라 신하는 1982년 CPI의 Syd Abdur Razzaque와 1977년 [12][27]Janata 당의 Jagadish Sinha를 물리쳤다.
