부서간 인신매매 실무그룹(IWG-TIP)은 2012년 6월 인신매매 태스크포스로 조직이 교체되기 전까지 캐나다에서[1] 인신매매와 관련된 공공정책 개발을 담당하는 기구였다.[2]IWG-TIP는 1999년에 설립되었고 외교통상부와 법무부가 공동주최하였다.[3]워킹그룹에는 캐나다 정부의 17개 기관과 부서가 참여했다.[4]이 단체는 14개 언어로 된 팜플렛을 제작했는데, 위험부담이 있는 여성들이 어떻게 인신매매되는 것을 피할 수 있는지에 대해 교육할 목적으로 만들어졌다.[5]이 팜플렛은 국제적으로 배포되었다.[6]IWG-TIP는 인신매매의 희생자들은 주로 지역사회 단체에서 봉사해야 한다는 생각을 홍보했다.[7]2004년에 IWG-TIP는 국가적인 반인륜적 범죄 방지 계획을 만들도록 의무화되었고 정치인과 비정부기구(NGO) 모두 향후 8년 동안 IWG-TIP에게 이 미이행된 의무사항을 상기시키기 위해 진행되었다.[8]IWG-TIP는 이 기간 동안 그러한 계획을 수립할 것을 계속 약속하였다.[9]2004년 3월 31일, IWG-TIP 웹사이트는 "잠재적인 연방 반트래핑 전략의 다양한 요소들을 논의하기 위해" 학계 및 NGO들과 회의를 하고 있다는 내용으로 업데이트되었지만, 이후 4년 동안 이 웹사이트에 대한 업데이트는 더 이상 이루어지지 않았다.[10]
