역사

초년

하드 드라이브 인터내셔널은 에릭과 팀 크라운에 의해 1988년에 설립되었다. 처음에는 컴퓨터 저장소를 판매하는 우편 주문 사업이었는데, 신용카드 회사가 신생 우편 주문 회사들을 서비스하지 않을 때 그 회사는 가게로 확장되었다. 1991년 Insight Enterprises로 사명을 변경하였으며, 유통에는 컴퓨터와 액세서리가 총동원되었다.[5] 그 회사는 1995년 1월에 공모했다.[6][7]

인사이트는 1997년 캐나다 몬트리올에 본사를 둔 TC컴퓨터를 인수하면서 국제적인 회사가 되었다. 인사이트는 1998년 4월 포스9로 운용 중인 인터넷 서비스 제공업체 겸 웹사이트 호스팅 및 개발회사인 초이스 주변기기(주)와 플러스넷 테크놀로지스(주)를 인수하는 계약을 체결했다.[8] 이번 인수는 인사이트의 사업을 유럽으로 확장시켰다.[5]

2000-2010

인사이트는 2001년 10월 영국 직거래 마케터인 액션 컴퓨터 서플라이즈 홀딩스 PLC를 약 1억5000만달러의 주식으로 인수했다.[9][10] 2002년 4월 코마크를 1억5000만달러에 인수해 인사이트가 공공부문을 포함한 모든 규모의 고객과 협업할 수 있는 능력을 키웠다.[9]

인사이트는 2006년 7월 중견·대기업용 소프트웨어와 모빌리티 제품을 중점적으로 취급하는 소프트웨어 스펙트럼을 레벨3커뮤니케이션즈로부터 2억8,700만달러에 구매하는 계약을 체결했다.[11]

시스코 네트워킹과 첨단 통신에 주력했던 기술 회사인 캘런스 LLC는 2008년 4월 인사이트에 1억2천5백만 달러에 인수되었다.[12] 인사이트는 2008년 7월 시스코 골드파트너 인가를 받은 유럽 네트워크 통합업체인 영국계 민x Ltd를 150만 달러, 기존 부채 460만 달러로 인수했다.[13][14]

2011년 현재

2000년 설립된 정보기술(IT) 기업 엔싱크는 2011년 9월 인사이트에 인수됐다.[15][16] 인사이트는 2012년 2월 독일에 본사를 둔 기업 간 하드웨어 리셀러인 인맥 Gmbh를 인수했다.[17]

인사이트는 2015년 6월 고객관계와 상호작용을 강조하기 위한 기업 리브랜딩을 받았다.[3][18] 이 회사는 2015년 7월 초점 전환의 일환으로 새로운 웹사이트를 개설했다.[18] 인사이트는 2015년 10월 보스턴에 본사를 둔 인터랙티브 디자인 및 기술 아키텍처 회사인 블루메탈을 인수했다.[19] 또한 2015년에는 Insight가 Noble Cause 사업부를 위한 연례 캠페인에서 20만 달러를 모금했다. 2016년 11월 인사이트 엔터프라이즈는 미네소타에 본사를 둔 데이터센터 서비스 및 솔루션 회사인 데이터링크를 주당 11.25달러에 인수할 예정이지만 대부분 그대로 유지하겠다고 발표했다.[24] 2억5천8백만 달러 규모의 딜은 2017년 1/4분기에 마감되었으며 Insight Enterprise가 데이터 센터 서비스를 강화할 수 있도록 했다.[25][26]

인사이트는 2017년 9월 네덜란드 클라우드 서비스 업체인 Caase.com을 인수했다고 발표했다.[27]

2018년 8월 Insight는 모바일, 웹, 분석 및 클라우드 전반에 걸쳐 디지털 솔루션의 국가 공급업체인 Cardinal Solutions의 인수를 발표했다.[28]

인사이트 엔터프라이즈는 2019년 8월 글로벌 IT 제품 및 서비스 제공업체인 PCM, Inc.의 인수를 발표해 미국, 캐나다, 영국 등에서 인사이트의 영업을 확대했다.[29]
