중요 레코드는 매사추세츠주 그로브랜드에 본사를 둔 미국의 독립 음반사다.[2]레이블 뒤에 있는 아이디어는 다양한 아티스트와 장르의 발매가 있는 좋은 레코드 가게처럼 되겠다는 것이다.[3]

역사

존 브리엔은 2001년 매사추세츠 주 뉴베리 아파트에서 온라인 상점으로 중요한 레코드를 시작했다.브리엔은 뉴햄프셔주 포츠머스에 있는 레코드 가게의 대리인이었지만, 그 가게의 지배인이 해고되자 그만두었다.중요한 첫 두 곡은 미국 작곡가 대니얼 존스턴의 임파서블 러브와 일본의 소음 음악가 머즈보우의 앰럭스였다.[4][5][6]2003년, 중요곡은 드레스덴 돌스의 데뷔 앨범인 A Is for Incident를 발매했다.[7]

중요은 또한 두 개의 하위 라벨을 운영하고 있다: 2011년에 시작된 카사우나, 2014년 9월에 시작된 카세트를 레터프레스 포장으로 출시한 살터, 그리고 타시 와다가 큐레이션한 2014년 9월에 시작된 살터.[8]
