역사

1972–2000

1972년 트라이어드 시스템즈 코퍼레이션으로 법인화되었으며, 2003년 액티비티로 개칭되어 인수를 통해 성장을 거듭하였다. 2011년 5월 아팍스파트너스가 인수해 에피코르 소프트웨어(Epicor Software Corporation)와 합병해 에피코르라는 이름을 사기업으로 유지했다.

어드밴스트 비즈니스 마이크로시스템스는 1984년에 설립된 또 다른 전임 기업이다. ABM은 MS-DOS용 회계 소프트웨어 제품군을 만들어 IBM과 합작해 플래티넘 시리즈로 마케팅했다. ABM은 플래티넘 라인을 다중 사용자 LAN 기반 환경을 위해 설계된 금융 회계 소프트웨어 제품으로 개발했다. ABM은 1992년 공모에 대비해 플래티넘 소프트웨어 주식회사로 개칭했다.[2]

Platinum은 1993년에 마이크로소프트 윈도우용 제품 버전을 발표했다.[3] 플래티넘은 1997년 클라이언트엘리와 플래티넘의 기존 유통 솔루션으로 확장된 포커스소프트를 인수했다.[4] 1년 후 플래티넘은 DataWorks와 합병하여 제조 솔루션과 운영을 확장했다.[5] 1999년에 플래티넘은 에피코르 소프트웨어 주식회사가 되었다.[6]

2001–2010

에피코르는 2001년 세이지 그룹에 플래티넘 for Windows(PFW) 제품을 판매했다.[7]

엔터프라이즈 서비스를 자동화하고 완전히 웹 기반이었던 Epicor for Service Enterprise는 2003년에 출시되었다. 그 회사는 환대를 위해 컴푸넷을 인수했다. 2004년에 스칼라를 인수했다.[8] 2005년에 에피코르는 종합 소매 제품군을[9] 제공하기 위해 CRS 리테일(CRS Retail)[10]을 구매한 후 2007년에 NSB를 인수하여 리테일 오퍼링을 확장했다. 2010년 말, 에피코르는 단일 책임 지점에서 더 많은 서비스를 제공하기 위해 개인 소유의 SPACLE Human Resource Systems Corporation을 구입했다.[11]

2012년 10월, 에피코르는 토론토의 CMS Software Inc.와 영국의 XKO Software Ltd.의 합병으로 2007년에 설립된 [14]솔라소프트 비즈니스 시스템을 인수했다. 솔라소프트는 인수에 앞서 2012년 6월 프로그레시브 솔루션을 인수했다.[15]

2013년 10월 7일 에피코르는 조지프 L. 코완을 사장 겸 CEO로 임명했다.[16]

2014년 10월, 에피코르는 클라우드 및 사내 소매 분석 소프트웨어와 선도적인 전문 및 백화점 체인을 위한 서비스 제공업체인 콴티센스 사를 인수한다고 발표한다.[17]

2015년 1월 6일, 에피코르는 개인 보유 ShopVisible, LLC의 인수를 완료한다.[18]

2015년 6월 에피코르 소매는 에피코르에서 분리되어 아파토스 주식회사가 되었다.

2016년 7월 5일 에피코르는 글로벌 투자기업 KKR이 인수하기로 확정 계약을 체결했다고 발표했다.[21] KKR의 인수는 2016년 9월 1일에 최종 확정되었다.[22] 조셉 L. 코완은 인수 후에도 에피코르의 사장 겸 CEO로 남아 있었다.

2017년 10월 1일 에피코르는 스티브 머피 전 오픈텍스트 사장을 사장 겸 CEO로 임명했다.[23]

2019년 10월 1일, 에피코르는 오하이오 주 솔론 소재 전자 데이터 교환 서비스와 소프트웨어를 미공개 금액으로 1 EDI Source를 인수했다고 발표했다.[24]

2020년 1월 1일, 에피코르의 글로벌 포트폴리오를 총괄하는 최고 제품 및 기술 책임자로서의 역할을 계속하면서, 에피코르는 히만슈 팔슐을 사장으로 승진시켰다. 그는 CEO 스티브 머피에게 계속 보고할 것이다.[25]

2020년 8월 31일 KKR은 이 회사를 47억 달러에 CD&R에 매각할 것이라고 발표했다.[26][27][28]
