Eophylophyton bellum은 거대 잎을 [1][2]가진 것으로 알려진 가장 오래된 식물이다.2013년, Hao(원래 분류군의 저자 중 한 명)와 Xue는 이 속을 유목식물에서 [3]고립된 혈통으로 여겨지는 새로운 분류로 분류했다.
