Dennis Spiegel

데니스 슈피겔은 미국의 작사가다. 제44회 황금시간대 에미상 시상식에서 슈피겔은 HBO 영화 'Cast a Drillary Strength'의 수록곡 '왜 거짓말을 할까'로 우수 오리지널 음악과 가사상(Curt Sobel과 공유)을 수상했다. 그는 에미상 후보로 세 번 지명되었다.[1] 그의 영화 작품에는 마이클 케인 영화 "Blame it on Rio"가 포함되어 있는데, 이 영화에는 그가 이 곡의 악보를 위해 가사를 썼다.[2]

아카데미상 논란

2013년 동명의 슈피겔이 부른 '혼자 아직 혼자는 아니다'는 제86회 아카데미 시상식에서 아카데미 원곡상 후보에 올랐으나, 영화예술과학아카데미가 이 곡의 공동작곡자 브루스 브리튼이 전 주지사 겸 현 집행부임을 밝혀내 2014년 1월 29일 지명이 철회됐다.아카데미 음악부 소속 위원회 위원이 다른 지부 회원들과 부적절하게 접촉했다.[3][4][5][6] 셰릴 분 아이작스 아카데미 회장은 "소통이 아무리 잘됐다 하더라도 전직 주지사와 현직 집행위원이라는 직위를 이용해 개인적으로 오스카 제출을 홍보하는 것은 부당한 우위의 모습을 만들어낸다"고 말했다.[7] 모든 사람이 아카데미의 행동에 동의한 것은 아니다.[8][9][10]
