다니엘 B. 쇼트(Short, 1961년 7월 11일 출생)는 미국의 정치인이다.그는 39구역을 대표하는 델라웨어 하원 공화당 의원이다.[1][2]그는 지난 선거에서 델라웨어 상원의원 경선에서 패배한 후, 2006년 하원에서 은퇴한 공화당 티나 팰런의 후임으로 선출되었다.2013년 1월부터 하원 소수당 대표를 지냈고, 이전에는 소수당 채찍을 맡았다.시의회 의원, 델라웨어 시포드 시장 등을 역임하기도 했다.그는 델라웨어 대학에서 준학사 학위를 취득했다.
선거사
- 2004년 쇼트는 현직 민주당 상원의원인 로버트 베너블스 상원의원에 도전했으나 총선에서 패배했다.[3]
- 쇼트는 2006년 델라웨어의원에 출마해 리처드 스턴버그 민주당 후보를 상대로 3370표(68.6%)를 얻어 총선에서 승리했다.[4]
- 쇼트는 2008년 제리 셈퍼 민주당 후보를 상대로 5,185표(68.8%)를 얻어 총선에서 승리했는데, 제리 셈퍼 민주당 후보 역시 워킹가족당 후보로 자격을 갖추고 표를 받았다.[5]
- 쇼트는 2010년 4562표를 얻어 총선에 반대하지 않았다.[6]
- 쇼트는 2012년 공화당 경선에서 1046표(80.2%)[7]로 승리했고, 총선에 반대하지 않아 6,191표를 얻었다.[8]
- 숏은 2014년 자유당 후보 제임스 W. 브리팅햄을 상대로 3977표(92.9%)를 얻어 총선에서 승리했다.[9]
- 쇼트는 2016년 자유당 후보 제임스 W. 브리팅엄과의 재대결에서 6643표(91.3%)로 총선에서 승리했다.[10]
