DP Architects Pte Ltd는 싱가포르에 기반을 둔 건축 관행이다.[2][3] 1967년 디자인파트너십으로 시작해 1993년 민간 유한회사로 편입됐다. 다학제 설계 컨설팅이다.[4] 그것은 세계에서 가장 큰 건축 관행 중 하나이다.[2][3]

역사

이 회사는 1967년 윌리엄 림 시우웨이, 타이 정순,[11] 고서우 촨과[12] 함께 말레이 건축가 공동 파트너십을[13] 탈퇴하고 해체 후 디자인 파트너십을 설립하여 초기 직원 18명의 힘으로 회사를 차렸다.[14] 1972년 간엥옹이 합류하여 1973년 찬수히에 이어 파트너가 되었고[14], 이후 1974년 파트너가 되었다.[14] 1974년 1963년 싱가포르 폴리테크닉을 졸업한 타이 정순은 은퇴하여 독자적인 연습인 아키텍 텐가라를 설립하였다.[14] 그로부터 1년 뒤인 1975년 디자인 파트너십이 해체되고 DPA(Design Architects Pte)로 개편됐다.[11] 윌리엄 림(William Lim)은 1981년 은퇴하여 자신만의 관행을 확립했다.[14][15][16]

1982년 DP디자인과 DP컨설턴트 등 2개 자회사 설립과 함께 회사가 확장됐다.[17] DP Architects는 싱가포르에 200명의 직원이 있는 개인 한정자로 정식 등록되었다.[18] 창사 이래 회사를 이끌고 있는 찬수이 그는 2004년 프란시스 리 셍웨가 회장으로 승진하면서 CEO로 뒤를 이었다.[14] 2016년에는 프란치스코 리 셍웨이가 찬수이 그에게서 회장직을 물려받았고 찬수이가 수석 이사로 멘토 역할을 맡았다.[19] 안젤린 챈은 CEO로 승진했다.[20][21][22]

2021년, 회사의 경영 쇄신 및 연속성 계획의 일환으로, 세아치황은 최고 경영자로 임명되었다. 퇴임하는 안젤린 챈 최고경영자(CEO)가 수석이사 겸 고문직을 맡은 프랜시스 리 회장으로부터 회장직을 물려받았다. 현재까지 찬수이 그는 수석 이사로 멘토 역할을 계속하고 있다.[23]

지속 가능한 디자인

민주당 건축가들은 지속 가능한 디자인의 리더로 여겨진다. 싱가포르 건축공사청(BCA)은 25개 이상의 프로젝트가 Green Mark Gold+ 또는 Platinum으로 평가되어 Green Mark Gold+ 또는 Platinum 프로젝트를 가장 많이 수행한 싱가포르의 3대 건축사 중 하나로 DP Architects를 인정하였다.[24] BCA 그린마크 제도는 건물의 환경영향과 성능을 평가하기 위한 녹색건축물 등급제로, 효율성에 대한 최고 등급인 골드플러스와 플래티넘이 2등급이다.[25] 또한 DP Architects는 지속 가능한 건축으로 많은 1등을 차지했으며, 리조트 월드 센토사와 NUS University Town에서 그린마크 구역상을 두 번 수상했으며, 두 번 모두 GoldPlus의 두 번째 최고 등급을 달성했다.[26]

2015년, 민주당 건축가들은 BCA로부터 BEL(Builded Environment Leadership) 골드 클래스 상을 받았다.[27] 민주당 기업집단은 2013년, 2014년, 2015년 총 4차례 BCA-SGBC 그린빌딩 개인 표창장을 받았다.

주목할 만한 프로젝트

DPA는 1960년대 말과 1970년대 초 피플 파크 콤플렉스, 골든 마일 콤플렉스 등 여러 건축물로 싱가포르에서 가장 잘 알려져 있다.

네덜란드의 건축가 렘 쿨하스는 2005년 싱가포르를 방문했을 때 기자회견에서 '이 건물들(골든 마일 콤플렉스와 인민 공원 콤플렉스)은 랜드마크로 의도된 것이 아니라 랜드마크가 되었다'고 말했다.
