캐서린 헤이먼스 FRSE (Catherine Heymans FRSE, 1978년/1979년 출생)는 영국의 천체물리학자, 스코틀랜드 천문학자, 에든버러 왕립 천문대에 기반을 둔 에든버러 대학교 교수다.[3][4][5][6]

초년기

헤이먼스는 허트퍼드셔주 히친에서 태어나 자랐으며 히친여학교에서 교육을 받았다.[7][1]

그녀는 2000년에 에든버러 대학에서 물리학과 석사학위를 받았다. 2003년에 그녀는 중력 렌즈 제작에 대한 랜스 밀러와 앨런 오천스의 감독으로 옥스퍼드 대학에서 박사학위를 받았다.[2]

직업 및 연구

그녀는 맥스 플랑크 천문연구소, 브리티시 컬럼비아 대학, 파리 대학, 에든버러 대학에서 일련의 펠로우쉽을 땄다.[clarification needed] 2009년에 그녀는 유럽 연구 위원회(ERC)로부터 선발 보조금을 받았고 이후 에든버러 대학교의 강사로 임명되었다.
