지리

카셀딘은 북쪽으로 16km(10mi) 정도 떨어져 있으며 브리즈번 중심상업지구에서 차로 30분 거리에 있다.[citation needed]

교외는 카셀딘 역(27°20′50″S 153°01′44″E / 27.3472°S 153.0288°E / -27.3472; 153.0288(카셀딘 철도역))이 교외를 섬기며 동쪽으로 북해안 철도 노선에 의해 경계를 이루고 있다.[4][5] 집피로는 남쪽(아스플리)에서 교외로 진입해 북서쪽(발트힐스)으로 빠져나간다.[6]

역사

카르셀딘은 1975년 8월 16일 퀸즐랜드 지명위원회(Queensland Place Names Board)에 의해 1854년 범선 몬순호에 이민하여 1858년 볼드힐스에 정착한 펜싱 도급업자 윌리엄 카셀딘(Castledien)의 이름을 따서 명명되었으며, 또한 카르셀딘 지역에 토지를 소유하고 있다.[3][7]
