The Canadian Joint Incident Response Unit (CJIRU) (French: Unité interarmées d'intervention du Canada, UIIC) of the Canadian Armed Forces was created "to provide timely and agile broad-based CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) support to the Government of Canada in order to prevent, control and mitigate CBRN threats to Canada, Can"아디안, 그리고 캐나다의 관심사".[1][4] 캐나다 특수작전사령부(Canadian Special Operation Force Command, CANSOFCOM)의 소부대다.
역사
2001년 9월 11일의 테러 공격과 같은 해의 핵·생물·화학 방어에 관한 최고 검토 서비스 보고서(Chief Review Services Report on Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defense, Canadian Force)의 핵·생물·화학 방어(NBCD) 능력의 폭을 넓힐 필요가 있다는 것이 명백해졌다. 당시 장 크리티엔 총리 휘하의 연방정부는 2001년 12월 이 능력을 강화하고 공동 핵, 생물, 화학 방어 회사(JNBCD Coy)를 설립하기 위해 3천만 달러를 예산에 배정했다. 2007년 9월 JNBCD Coy는 회사의 방대한 운영 능력과 업무, 책임 등으로 신속한 전개 대응팀인 CJIRU로 개편되었다.
CJIRU는 신속한 부대의 배치 요건 때문에 온타리오주 윙 트렌턴 8번지에 공수자산과 함께 기반을 두고 있다. 구 JNBCD 코이 본부는 온타리오 주 CFB 킹스턴에 위치해 있었다.[5]
