비탈 수도원(아일랜드어: Mainistir Bheigthi)[1]은 아일랜드 미트 주 비탈에 위치한 시토회 수도원이다.

이 수도원은 [2]1147년에 설립되었고, 남아있는 (잘 보존된) 건물과 유적은 주로 [3]15세기까지 거슬러 올라간다.인근 주차장을 포함한 이 부지는 2012년 국가가 매입했으며 [4]공공사업사무소가 관리하고 있다.13세기 초반의 교회, 15세기 회랑, 16세기 탑을 포함한 이 수도원은 보호되는 구조물로 아일랜드의 [5][6]국가 기념물 등록부에 기록되어 있다.

역사

이 수도원은 1147년 Murchad O'Maeil-Sheachlainn에 의해 Mellifont [2]Abbey의 '딸 집'으로 설립되었다.이 수도원과 그 소유지는 1530년대 수도원 해체 기간 동안 몰수되었고, 토마스 아스가르드에게 임대되었고, 이후 [7]1552년 앤드류 와이즈에 의해 매입되었다.이 무렵에 토지는 측량되었고 1580에이커로 [2]기록되었다.17세기 동안, 수도원 건물들은 [3]장원으로 사용하기 위해 부분적으로 개조되었다.

더블린에서 트림으로 가는 버스 에이런 노선 109B는 수도원에 정차하는 반면 190번 도로 드로게다 - 슬레인 - 나반 - 트림은 1킬로미터도 떨어지지 않은 코넬스 크로스에 정차한다.버스는 매일 운행되며 109B에서는 양방향으로 2시간마다,[10] 190B에서는 시간당으로 운행됩니다.
