Basiothia laticornis는 스핑가과의 나방이다.그것은 [2]마다가스카르에서만 알려져 있다.

담자메데아와 비슷하지만, 일반적으로 갈색 앞날개와 뒷날개로 즉시 구분할 수 있습니다.더듬이는 암수 모두 강한 몽둥이를 가지고 있지만 수컷은 눈에 띄게 길고 두껍다.앞날개 어퍼사이드는 보라색-갈색이다.세 줄의 반유대어가 있다.원반세포의 꼭대기에서 원위하는 더 진한 갈색 반점이 있다.

암컷의 날개 길이는 35~40mm이다.[3]
