애트페스트

Athfest

애트페스트는 1997년 처음 열린 조지아 주 아테네의 무료 연간 음악 예술 축제다. 이 축제는 여름 동안 시내에서 3일간 지속되며, 11월부터 행사를 계획하기 시작한다.[1] 제러드 베일리는 조지아 주 아테네의 음악을 홍보하기 위해 이 축제를 설립했다. 그는 이전에 무료 대안 주간지 플래그폴과 영향력 있는 40와트 클럽의 초기 나이트클럽의 일원이었다. 2009년, AthFest는 매년 음악 예술 축제를 포함한 학교 및 지역사회 기반의 프로그램과 행사를 직접 지원하여 지역 청소년과 아테네 지역사회를 위한 수준 높은 음악 예술 교육의 선진화를 도모하는 501(c)3 비영리 AthFest Educates가 되었다. 2010년 애트페스트 에듀메이트스는 추가 모금 행사로 매년 애드 하프 마라톤을 시작했다.[2][3]

축제 24년째인 2020년 행사는 COVID-19 대유행으로 2021년으로 연기돼 23년 만에 축제가 취소됐다.[4][5] 그러나 2021년 9월 대유행으로 인한 국민건강 우려가 지속되면서 2년 연속 다시 축제가 취소됐다.[6]
