여성발전권익협회(AWID)는 1982년 설립된 국제·페미니스트·회원 단체로 양성평등, 지속가능한 발전, 여성인권 실현을 위해 헌신하고 있다.[1]

활동.

전 세계의 여성과 남성들의 역동적인 네트워크인 AWID 회원들은 연구원, 학계, 학생, 교육자, 활동가, 사업가, 정책 입안자, 개발 전문가, 자금 제공자, 그리고 그 외 더 많은 사람들이다. AWID의 전 전무이사는 리디아 알피자르 듀란이었고, 이사장으로 마이나 커닝햄 케인이 있었다.[2]

2016년부터는 하키마 압바스와[3][4] 신디[5] 클라크가 공동집행위원장으로 이끌었고, 미국의 페미니스트 작가 샬럿 번치가 이사장으로 합류했다.[2][6] 이전에 워싱턴 D.C.에 본부를 두고 있던 이 기구는 현재 토론토, 멕시코 시티, 케이프 타운에 사무실을 두고 있으며 전 세계에 걸쳐 직원들이 근무하고 있다.

정책 개요, 불법 금융 흐름: 왜 우리가 성, 경제, 사회 정의를 위해 이러한 자원을 주장해야 하는가? 왜 우리가 국민과 행성에 대한 기업의 특권을 대체할 더 엄격한 금융 규제를 설명하기 위해 발행되었다. 그 점에서, 페미니스트와 성 정의 기구를 지원하는 초기 정책들 또한 관련 의사결정에 영향을 미치고 정책 입안자들을 참여시킬 것을 권고받았으며, 이는 기존의 참여와 입장을 보완하는 기관들뿐만 아니라 잠재적으로 보완하는 기관들을 언급하는 것에 국한되지 않았다.[7]

AWID는 2011년부터 채널재단이 '[8]제12회 여성권익국제포럼: 여성권익개발에 관한 AWID 국제포럼: 2012년 4월 터키 이스탄불에서 열린 '여성 권리와 정의의 선진화를 위한 경제력 전환'.[9] 이 기구는 5가지 우선순위 분야에 주력해 왔다. 여성의 권리 회복, 경제 정의, 도전적 종교적 근본주의, 여성 인권 옹호자, 젊은 페미니스트 활동주의.[10] 5000명 이상의 회원을 가진 세계 회원국은 164개국에서 온 개인과 기관으로 구성되어 있다.[11]

AWID는 LGB를 지원한다.TIQ 권리와 반성(反性) 운동에 반대하며, 트랜스제외 페미니스트들을 인권의 훼손을 꾀하는 '인권공간 속 트로이 목마'로 묘사해 왔다.AWID는 반트랜스액션(trans-exclusion) 활동은 '농민'이며, '섹스 기반' 미사여구는 성(性)과 성별의 개념을 오용해 깊은 차별적 어젠다를 밀어붙인다.후기 페미니스트(...)는 성(性)과 성(性)에 대한 진보와 소외된 집단의 권리 보호를 저해한다."[12]
