Al-Baghuz Fawqani (Arabic: ٱلْبَاغُوز فَوْقَانِي, romanized: al-Bāġūz Fawqānī) is a town in Syria, located in Abu Kamal District, Deir ez-Zor.시리아 중앙통계국(CBS)에 따르면 2004년 인구총조사에서 알바구즈 파우카니의 인구는 1만649명이었다.[1]

시리아 내전

시리아 내전이 진행되는 동안 바구즈 지역( 인근 마을 바구즈 앳 타흐타니 포함)은 이슬람국가 이라크와 레반트(ISIL) 지하디스트 조직의 통제하에 들어갔다.[2][3]이 지역은 당초 ISIL의 유프라테스 주(Uphrates State)에서 관리하였으나, 이후 알바라카 지구로 이전하였다.[4]
