2021년 [2]9월 23일 맨섬에서 총선이 실시되었다.역대 선거에서 뽑힌 5명의 여성보다 두 배 많은 10명의 여성이 당선되었다.두 선거구에서 처음으로 두 명의 MHK 당선자가 모두 [1]여성이었다.네 명의 정부 장관이 [1][3]재선되지 못했다.

선거 제도

24명의 주요 의원은 12개 선거구에서 선출되며, 각 선거구는 2명의 [4]의원을 선출한다.선거는 각 선거구에서 여러 개의 비양도 투표에 의해 이루어지며, 유권자들은 두 개의 의석에 대해 두 개의 표를 갖는다.

최고장관은 총선을 거쳐 중수부의 지명을 받아 임명된다.

후보

총 65명의 후보자가 [5]출마했다.하워드 퀘일(MHK는 중간) 현 장관은 [6]재선에 출마하지 않았다.

정당별

85% 이상의 후보자들이 정당 가입 없이 출마했고, 가장 큰 정당인 Manx Labor Party는 두 개의 MHK로 구성되었다.Manx Labor 당은 3명의 후보를 [5]냈고, Liberal Vannin은 4명,[5] Island of Man Green Party는 [5]2명의 후보를 냈다.2021년 선거는 녹색당이 지방선거에만 [7]입후보한 최초의 선거였다.
