Yin Yang fishYin Yang fish (Chinese: 陰陽魚, 糖醋活魚, 呼叫魚; also called dead-and-alive fish) is a dish which consists of an oil-fried whole fish (usually carp) whose head remains alive even after its body has been cooked. 준비 과정에서 물고기는 몸통이 보호되는 튀김용 기름에 담그기 전에 비늘을 벗기고 내장을 제거한다. 그리고 나서 그 물고기는 소스로 덮이고 접시에 담겨 나온다.[1][2]
대만 치에이시의 한 식당은 2007년 시 공무원과 일반인들이 이 요리의 잔인성을 비판하는 등 이 요리의 서빙을 시작하자 분통을 터뜨렸다.[3] 대중의 항의가 이어지자, 그 요리는 메뉴에서 제거되었다.[4] 2009년 한 요리의 비디오가 동물 윤리 치료 국민들에 의해 그것을 보여주는 비디오를 "혐오"[5]라고 부르는 것에 의해 비난 받았다.
