야히스탄
Yaghistan야흐시탄(The Land of Revience)은 아프가니스탄과 영국 인도 사이의 핵심 국경 지역이었다.[1] 이곳은 두란트 선의 양쪽에 있는 파슈툰 부족들이 살고 있는 지역이었다.[1]
역사
야기스탄은 마흐무드 하산 도반디의 실크 레터 운동의 중심지였다.[2] 이 지역은 결코 영국 라지와 그 국민들에 의해 정복되지 않았고 관리받지 못한 부족들은 항상 영국에 대해 적대적이었다.[3]
According to the Encyclopaedia of Islam, Yaghsitan "referred to different sanctuaries used by Mujahideen against the British authorities in the 19th and early 20th centuries, in the various independent tribal areas, mainly inhabited by the Pak̲h̲tūns [Pashtuns], in the hinterland of what became the North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) of British Ind모흐만드 에이전시, 부뉴르, 도르, 스와트, 코히스탄, 하사라, 차마르칸트 같은 곳."[4]
