시 아리에티스(Shi Arietis)는 아리에티스(Arietis)에서 라틴어로 표기된 것으로, 아리에스(Aries) 북쪽 별자리에 있는 바이너리 항성계통의[7] 명칭이다.겉으로 보이는 시각적 크기가 5.46이므로 육안으로는 희미하게 보인다.[2]지구에서 볼 수 있는 연간 시차 변화량 3.74±0.29 mas를 바탕으로, 태양으로부터 872 ± 68 광년(267 ± 21 파섹) 떨어져 있다.그 거리에서는 항성간 먼지로 인해 0.24의 소멸계수만큼 항성의 시각적 크기가 감소한다.[4]
이것은 이중선 스펙트럼 분석 이항이다.[7]이 스펙트럼은 B7 IV라는 별의 분류와 일치하는데,[3] 이는 중심부의 수소 공급이 소진되어 거대 항성으로 진화하는 과정에 있는 아거성 항성을 나타낼 것이다.시 아리에티스는 한때 프시세티(ψψ쎄, ψ쎄티)의 지명이었다.[8]
