WRZR은 1984년 12월 7일 진주만 날 인디애나 남서부에서 도나 해리스 루구티 방송국이 소유한 WKMD FM 라디오 94.3으로 방송되었다.방송국은 1994년 8월 13일 주파수를 FM 94.1로 변경하였다.Hembree Communications는 1997년 8월에 WKMD를 설립하여 구입하였다.2021년 5월 Hembree Communications는 래리와 스테파니 Hembree가 소유한 Daisy Holdings에 지배권을 양도했다.
1998년 1월 1일부터 WRZR로 콜레터가 변경되었다.방송국은 1998년 8월 19일 FM 94.5로 주파수를 변경하였다.이 방송국은 Daisy Holdings와 함께 LMA를 통해 사장인 Paul Knies가 운영하고 있다.
