창조예술대학(University for the Creative Arts, University for the Creative Arts)은 영국 남부에 있는 전문 예술 디자인 대학이다.

2005년 대학은 크리에이티브 아츠 캔터베리, 사리, Farnham메이드스톤과 로체스터에 켄트원 미술과 디자인의 Surrey연구소 미술 &amp로 합병되었다;설계, 이미degree-awarding 지위를 가지기 위한[4]둘 다 구성하는 학교 지역 예술 학교가 합쳐져서, 켄트 a에 형성되고 형성되었다는 수르아이에이의 2008년에 대학 지위를 부여받았고, 현재의 명칭으로 바뀌었다. 2016년에 열린 예술대학과 합병했다.[5]

역사

창조예술대학의 기원은 19세기 영국의 켄트와 서리 카운티에 다양한 작은 예술학교가 설립되는 데 있다. 켄트에는 1867년에 설립된 메이드스톤 미술대학이, 서리에는 1856년에 설립된 길드포드 미술대학이 있다. 20세기 후반에 이러한 작은 예술 학교들 중 많은 수가 합병되어, 결국 1987년에 켄트 미술 디자인 연구소를, 1995년에는 서리 미술 디자인 연구소를 설립하였다.2003년 켄트미술디자인연구소 소장인 Vaugan Grylls 교수는 서리미술디자인연구소 소장인 Elaine Thomas 교수에게 현재 정부 입법이 허용됨에 따라 두 기관이 함께 창의예술대학을 만들자고 제안했다.[6] 이 두 기관은 2005년 캔터베리, 엡섬, 파르넘, 메이드스톤, 로체스터에 있는 창조예술대학이 되기 위해 힘을 합쳤다. 2008년 5월 대학창작예술대학은 추밀원회로부터 완전한 대학 지위를 부여받았으며, 2008년 9월 현재의 명칭인 창조예술대학을 공식 채택하였다.[7]

한 연합 정부의 선거에 이어경제부 기술 혁신·기술을 법률이 있는 반면 실제 terms[8]대학 창조적 예술에서의 고등 교육에 정부 지출을 줄이는 등록금 비용을 늘리기 위한 영국에서 7.8%의 상처에서(10.2%을 이용해 4most-cut 대학을 드러냈다.레al terms).[9]

창조예술대학은 2011년 2월, 미드켄트 대학에서 사용할 메이드스톤 캠퍼스의 일부를 지정하는 것을 논의 중이라고 발표했다.[10] 여기에 미드켄트 대학은 2012년부터 메이드스톤 캠퍼스를 매입해 2014년까지 UCA를 단계적으로 폐지하겠다는 의지를 밝혔다.[11]

  • 1969년 – Farnham School of Art와 Guildford School of Art가 합쳐져 West Surrey College of Art & Design을[19] 형성함

캠퍼스

엡섬 캠퍼스 창조예술대학

UCA는 캔터베리, 엡섬, 파른햄, 로체스터에 캠퍼스와 왕립 니들워크 학교, 메이드스톤 스튜디오에 교무 기지를 두고 있으며,[26] 포크스톤 크리에이티브 쿼터에 프로젝트 및 전시 공간을 두고 있다.[27] 앞서 2014년 문을 닫은 메이드스톤에 캠퍼스가 있었다.[28]

또한 이 대학은 영국 및 해외의 여러 다른 교육 기관 및 예술 단체와 함께 강좌를 제공하거나 공동 제공하는 것을 검증한다. Farnham Maltings, Laine Theatre Arts, London School of Design & Marketing, Millennium Performing Arts, Turner Contemporary 및 MIT Institute of Design.[29]

2016년 11월 1일 열린 예술대학은 UCA의 일부가 되었다. 이것은 2010년에 수립된 긴밀한 업무 관계를 바탕으로 만들어졌다.[30]

이 대학은 다음과 같은 7개 학파로 조직된다. 비즈니스 스쿨, 캔터베리 대학교 건축학; 공예 & 디자인; 패션 & 섬유; 영화, 미디어 & 공연 예술; 미술, 사진 및 시각 커뮤니케이션; 그리고 추가 교육.[33]

이 연구소는 다음과 같은 5개의 연구 센터를 가지고 있다. 디지털 장학금 센터, 지속 가능한 디자인 센터, 공예 연구 센터, 미술 & 사진 연구 센터, 국제 섬유 연구 센터.[34][35]

영국 최초의 창조산업을 위한 비즈니스 스쿨은 UCA Epsom에 근거지를 두고 있다.[36]
