우표 태플링 콜렉션은 1891년 토마스 태플링의 소유지에서 대영 박물관에 기증되었다.[1]
태플링 컬렉션의 검증가치는 1만2000파운드로 설정되었지만 도착하자마자 리차드 가넷(인쇄책의 부지기수)은 5만파운드가 넘는 것으로 추정했고 1847년 그렌빌 도서관[2](2011년 2400만 파운드와 동일) 이후 가장 값진 선물이라고 설명했다.[3]
대영도서관의 필라텔릭 콜렉션에서 개최되고 있으며, 선정된 품목들은 상설 공개 전시회에 출품되어 있다.[4][5][6]
이 컬렉션은 1840년에서 1890년까지의 기간을 포함하며, 1900년까지의 일부 아이템이 이후에 추가되어 앨범 페이지에 기록된다.2009년 1월 현재 이 우표는 72박스로, 우편 문구 부분은 113장의 앨범과 7박스에 보관되어 있다.[7]
