역사

사회는 왕립식물원, Kew & John Innes 원예연구소(Merton) 직원들 사이에 비공식적인 만남으로 생겨났고, 1937년 5월 3일 공동동물학 및 식물학 "일반생물학 관련 체계화 위원회"를 결성하게 되었다.[2]그 후 협의회는 기구의 명칭을 현재의 형태로 변경했다.당초 창립총회는 다음과 같은 내용을 포함했다.줄리언 헉슬리(회장), 햄프턴 와일드먼 파커(동물학 장관), J. S. L. 길무어(식물학 장관) 등이 대표적이다.[2]null

기능들

계통학회의 특수 볼륨 시리즈와 계통학자라는 회원들을 위한 소식지에 다양한 관련 주제에 관한 책들을 출판한다.[4]특히 젊은 연구자들을 위한 연례 회의는 영국에서 "The Young Systematists's Forum"이라는 주최로 열린다.[5]null

구조

그 협회의 회원은 가입으로 누구나 가입할 수 있다.[6]협회의 사무는 연례 총회에서 선출된 장교와 회원으로 구성된 협의회에 의해 관리된다.그 임원들은 대통령, 비서, 회의 비서, 보조금 & 시상식 비서, 회원 비서, 회계 담당자, 편집국장, 뉴스레터 편집자, 웹마스터다.[7]null
