섀넌베일, 코크 카운티
Shannonvale, County Cork
섀넌베일 또는 섀넌 베일은 아일랜드 코크 카운티의 클로나킬티 근처에 있는 작은 시골 마을이다.[2] 그것은 킬라그로스와 템플브라이언의 민가에 있다.[3] 이 지역에 고대 정착한 증거로는 북부 템플브라이언 마을의 큰 교회 울타리에 있는 석조 원, 오감 석조, 불라운 석조 유적 등이 있다.[4][5] 섀넌베일은 18세기 중반에 이 지역에 많은 땅을 소유하고 지역에 큰 집과 방앗간을 건설했던 섀넌의 얼에서 이름을 따왔다.[6] 이 밀가루 공장은 한때 코르크, 반돈, 남해안 철도의 짧은 스퍼 라인이 제공되었다.[7] 대십자 전투는 1798년 아일랜드 반란 때 마을의 바로 북쪽에서 일어났다.[8]
