삼앙샘(Khmer: សំអអង,, Sam Sam Sam'ang)은 캄보디아계 미국인 민족학자로, 1998년 맥아더 펠로우쉽과 국립 예술 펠로우쉽 기부금(Apsara 앙상블의 일부분)을 받았다.[1][2]
삼앙삼과 그의 아내 찬 몰리샘은 "20년 이상"(1993년 기준)을 "공연, 교수, 연구, 문서화"하며 모국의 음악과 춤을 "공연, 연구, 문서화"했다.[3] 캄보디아에서 유학한 이들은 1975년 크메르 루즈가 캄보디아를 점령했을 때 필리핀에 있었고, 캄보디아 음악가 90%가 사망한 대량학살을 모면했다.[2][4] 그와 그의 아내는 미국으로 이주했고, 삼앙은 1998년 웨슬리언 대학교에서 민족학 박사학위를 받았다.[2][5] 그와 그의 아내는 1979년에서 2005년 사이에 캄보디아 무용수들로 구성된 무용단과 함께 미국 각지에서 공연을 했다.[6][7][5] 그들 자신의 공연단은 압사라 앙상블이라고 불렸다.[7]
삼앙삼앙상블의 창립자로서 그는 클래식 크메르 음악을 되살리고 다양한 캄보디아 공연 예술에 대한 관심을 자극하기 위해 미국 주류 시장에서 판매하기 위해 여러 장의 앨범을 발매했다.[2][8]
