르뉴파워는 인도 최대 신재생에너지 업체로 운영능력을 갖추고 있다.[2] 한라나 구르가온에 본사를 두고 있으며, 자산기반이 10GW가 넘고, 약 5GW가 운용되고 있다.[3] ReNew Power는 상업용 및 산업용 소비자를 위한 분산형 태양광 생산을 포함한 유틸리티 규모의 풍력 및 태양광 프로젝트를 개발, 건설, 소유 및 운영하면서 [4][5]인도 18개 주에 걸쳐 110개 이상의 프로젝트를 운영하고 있다.[6]

역사

수만트 신하는 2011년에[7] 르뉴파워를 시작했고 골드만삭스는 그 9월에 투자했다.[8] 이 회사는 2012년 5월 구자라트 자스단에서 첫 프로젝트를 시작했다.[9] 2016년, ReNew는 루피 표시 마살라 본드를[10] 조성한 최초의 재생 에너지 IPP가 되었고, 같은 해 인도 재생 에너지 회사로는 최초로 1GW 용량을 달성하였다.[7][11][12]

2016년, ReNew Power는 연구 및 기술 개발에 있어 기관과 협력하기 위해 IIT 우수 센터를 설립했다.[13][14]

2017년 제라(도쿄전력과 추부전력의 합작회사)가 지분 보유자가 됐고, 르뉴는 3년차 용량을 두 배로 늘렸다.[15][16] 2018년 르뉴파워가 오스트로에너지를 인수해 캐나다 연기금 CPPIB가 지분투자자가 됐다.[17] 이 회사는 또한 안드라 프라데시 주와 마하라슈트라 주와 신재생에너지 분야에 대한 투자를 위해 모우스와 계약을 체결했다.[18]

르뉴파워는 2019년 인도에서 한국 기업 GSE&C와 신재생에너지 파트너십을 맺고 라자스탄 SECI-4 프로젝트를 공동 개발했다.[19][20][21] ReNew는 기존 부채를 일부 상환하기 위해 달러[22] 채권을 통해 4억 5천만 달러를 모금했다.[23] 르뉴파워는 2020년 7월 인도에서 2GW 용량의 태양전지 및 모듈을 제조한다고 발표했다.[24]

COVID-19 대유행 동안, ReNew Power는 Rs. 20 크로어스를 경감시키기 위해 기부하기로 동의했다.[25][26][27]

2021년 2월 24일, ReNew Power는 RMG Acquisition Corporation II라는 SPAC와의 합병을 통해 공개하겠다고 발표했다.[28] 합병된 회사는 ReNew Energy Global PLC이며 나스닥에 상장될 것이다.[29] 르뉴는 2021년 8월 24일 'RNW'라는 기호로 나스닥에 상장됐다.[30] 그 거래의 가치는 약 80억 달러다.[31]

르뉴파워는 2021년 8월 L&T로부터 99MW급 수력발전소 인수계획을 발표했다.[32]
