푸오타턱 스테이트 포레스트(Pootatuck State Forest)는 주로 뉴 페어필드 마을에 위치한 코네티컷 주립 숲으로 셔먼에 소분수가 있다.레크리에이션 활동으로는 하이킹, 산악자전거, 레터박스, 사냥, 조류관찰, 스노우모빌링, 크로스컨트리 스키 등이 있다.[3][4]주요 산림지구는 인접한 스칸츠 폰드 주립공원과 인접해 있으며 산책로를 통해 접근할 수 있다.[4]
코네티컷주 뉴페어필드와 스콴츠 폰드 주립공원에는 두 개의 작은 푸타턱 주립 부동산 소포가 있다.[5]
- 서부푸오타턱 주립숲 소포는 비버보그로와 쇼트우즈로드 교차로 바로 서쪽의 비버보그로드 북쪽에 위치해 있다(GPS: 41.493866, -73.490825).
- 남부 푸타턱 주립숲 소포는 비버 보그로드와 쇼트우즈로드 교차로에서 약간 남쪽에 있는 쇼트우즈로드와 CT로39번길 (GPS: 41.494402, -73.4836)
