이 종은 이전에는 흰눈썹짧은날개, 현재는 자바짧은날개(Brachypteryx montana)의 아종으로 간주되었습니다.흰눈썹짧은날개는 깃털과 [4][5]발성의 중요한 차이와 결합된 개체군[2][3] 사이의 깊은 유전적 차이에 기초하여 5개의 다른 종으로 나뉘었습니다.
