PTron은 하이데라바드에 본사를 둔 인도의 전자제품 제조업체다. PTron은 2004년부터 BSE와 NSE의 상장사인 Palred Technologies Ltd의 자회사 Palred Electronics Private Limited가 소유한 브랜드다. PTron은 블루투스 헤드셋, 휴대용 블루투스 스피커, 유선 헤드셋, 충전기와 케이블, 스마트워치, 네트워킹 제품 등의 제품을 판매한다.

이력 및 운영

PTron은 팔레드전자(팔레드테크놀로지스 자회사)의 아민 쿠자 최고경영자(CEO)가 2014년 설립한 회사다. 2015년 중국[7] 선전에 사무소를 열고 이곳에서 제품 제조를 시작했다. 론칭 후 처음 2년 동안 이 회사는 100만 개 이상의 제품을 판매한 50 크로어(2019년 기준, 미화 704만 달러)의 매출을 기록했다고 주장했다.[2] 2019년 현재 헤드폰, 블루투스 오디오 기기, 스마트워치, 파워뱅크 등 모바일 액세서리를 500만대 이상 판매했다.[2][1][8] 이 회사는 처음에는 자사의 소매 플랫폼인 최신 원(RatestOne)을 통해 제품을 판매한 뒤 아마존, 플립카트, 스냅딜 등 다른 전자상거래 플랫폼으로 확대했다.[1][9][10]

2019년 현재 PTron은 미국, 캐나다, 이탈리아, 미얀마, 홍콩, 이스라엘, 인도네시아 등 다양한 국가에서 제품을 판매하고 있다.[1] 카화자에 따르면 하이데라바드, 첸나이, 델리는 인도 내 주요 시장이며 다른 도시의 1000여 개의 오프라인 매장을 통해 제품을 판매하고 있다.[1][11] 2018년까지 이 회사는 인도 12개 주에 40개 이상의 디스트리뷰터를 두고 있다.[5]

PTron은 2019년 8월 제조요건의 3분의 2를 처리할 것으로 예상되는 하이데라바드(인도 메이크 아래)[12]에 조립공장을 설립하겠다는 계획을 발표했다.[1] 2019년 10월 PTron은 처음 3일 동안 1만대 이상 판매된 Bass Budds TWS(True Wireless Stereo) 이어버드를 출시했다.[13] 2020년 8월 발리우드 배우 아파르샤크티 쿠라나와 계약을 맺고 브랜드 홍보에 나섰다.[14] PTron은 FY 2020-21년 2/4분기에 7.87 라흐의 판매량을 기록했는데, 이는 1/4분기 2.67 라흐의 판매량보다 증가한 수치다.[6][15][16]
