과점 부자들은 스피로트리히들 사이에 포함된 한 무리의 섬나라들이다. 그들은 목걸이와 옷깃으로 배열된 두드러진 구강 섬유를 가지고 있는데, 그들이 완전한 원을 형성하는 안무가와 대조된다. 신체는 대들보와 복측 신병으로 축소된다. 할테리아와 그 친척들은 강모나 서리를 형성한다. 그러나 이러한 형태는 다른 과점 부자들보다 스티코트 부자들의 더 가까운 친척일 수도 있다. 이 유기체들은 플랑크톤 사회에서 특히 해양 시스템에서 매우 흔하다. 보통 ml당 약 1개의 농도로 발견되는데, 그것들은 바다에서 가장 중요한 초식동물이며, 먹이 사슬에서 첫 번째 연결고리랍니다.
